Mandatory Instructor Workshop 2004

All Auxiliary Instructors who are involved in Public Education are required to complete the workshop developed by the Department of Education.  The complete resources for the workshop will be distributed to all DSO-PE at N-Train in St. Louis.  The dissemination of this workshop will have each DSO-PE determine the best means of getting the workshop in place at the Division and Flotilla levels as quickly as possible.  Ideally, this would involve the SO-PE of each Division presenting the workshop to all respective FSO-PE personnel but circumstances and geography may necessitate alternate approaches.  For scheduling purposes, plan on the facilitated segment of the workshop taking approximately two hours.  To that time, add 10 minutes per participant since the workshop also involves pre-assigned 5-minute teaching presentations that will be critiqued by all present.  For example, if there are going to be 12 participants, plan on the total time allotment for the workshop at 4 hours (2-hours for core materials plus 120 minutes for teaching presentations).  Workshop facilitators will need to have:

  • Mandatory Instructor Workshop PowerPoint presentation.
  • Facilitator notes to accompany PowerPoint presentation.
  • Handout photocopies for workshop participants that are PowerPoint note pages.
  • Master copy of the critique form to be used for the 5-minute presentations.
Prepare sufficient photocopies to give each participant and facilitator a separate critique sheet for each participant,
        e.g., 12 participants plus two facilitators require = 156 photocopies, (12 x 11) + (2 x 12).
  • List of 25 5-minute teaching topics.

Participants will recieve:

  • Pre-assigned 5-minute teaching topic - should be distributed not less than one week in advance.
  • critique form for each other participant in the workshop session.
  • PowerPoint note pages.

All of this material will be distributed to each DSO-PE at N-Train and to each SO-PE following N-Train.  It will also be available for downloading from the E Department PE Media Library.

  • G-OCX mandate for Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement Form (pdf) - (This form is for SF-86 reviewers only.)

The above webpage also has been updated to include both a Power Point Presentation (for viewing or downloading) and the same Presentation in 'Flash' format, for viewing information concerning the Auxiliary Security Check Program.  All questions concerning procedure and processes must be directed through your local District (DIRAUX).  Each District (DIRAUX) is setting up procedures for the collection of fingerprint cards and the other forms as necessary.
