DISCOUNTS for BOATERS HAVING a VESSEL SAFETY CHECK

Once again this year, West Marine, BoatU.S. and Boaters World are offering a 10% discount on safety items to boaters who take a VSC (pass or fail). No coupons are required. The boater only needs to show a copy of the 7012 form to receive the 10% discount on safety items.

VSC MEGAWEEKS

The VSC Megaweeks will run from the first Saturday at the start of National Safe Boating Week until July 4th. a special period of time to maximize vessel safety checks as part of a unified national effort. This means that for the year 2004, VSC Megaweeks will run from May 22, 2004 until July 4, 2004. Although this is a VE program, at the Flotilla level it should be regarded as "Combined Operations". Use the services and expertise of the FSO-PV, FS-PA and FSO-PE Staff Officers and members to get the word out to the Boating Public. Don't forget to take photographs/videos to send to the National Safe Boating Week Chairperson.
