NEW MEETING VENUE
We will be meeting in the Cheyenne Room of Thomas Hall for the fall semester. THis is the southwesternmost room of the west corridor. Parking stickers are being required this year due to the large number of students, BUT the parking areas are being enforced 7-4 daily, so it will not impact our meetings and it will still be possible to park north of Thomas Hall or in the library circle.MORE FIELD DAY SCORE RUMORS
The Kansas-Nebraska Club in Concordia made 177 CW and 125 SSB QSOs. No word on score or class. Their call MAY have been WØTQ.KANSAS STATE ARRL CONVENTION SEPT 30-OCT 1
The state convention this year is moving across the street to Century II auditorium in western downtown Wichita. The past couple years they have had alot of vendors, a pretty fair swaptable group, and very good program schedule.SCANNER BOOKS

BT Condolances to club President Tom NØXNO whose father died in late July. BT Fleck KØRXT was a little edgy in mid-August. Seems as though he gave up pipe smoking and was going through withdrawal. How's come he doesn't suffer from RF withdrawal?? BT Mike KFØMJ reports that his new (to him) hammobile Toyota truck is doing some rude things transmission-wise, and he's thinking about upgrading things. Guess he could always commandeer NØTES' cute little hotrod and patrol the streets. BT Speaking of hotrods and street BT Bruce KØBJ gave the Rotary program August 22, at the invitation of his mother. He showed Rotarians the new ARRL "non-technical" tape Friends for Life and spoke briefly about some of his high points in the hobby. Mike KFØMJ attended as a guest of City Manager Carolyn Armstrong.
