The Caney Valley Antique Power Association was formed in the spring of 1997 with a membership of 19 charter members. We have grown every year since then. Members are active all year long. We promote exhibits in area towns, participate in many area parades and attend shows held nation wide. Antique tractor & engine swap meets and shows start in April and wind down in the last of Oct. The club has monthly meetings, local cookouts and group projects. We even have a newsletter we send out to members.

CVAPA meets at 7 p.m. on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. The meeting place is at the clubhouse on the club grounds which is located 3 ½ miles north of Caney, KS on Hwy 75. Visiting starts a little after 6:00 p.m. You 'al come and bring a new member or guest, they are always welcome.

In 2003 the club purchased 40 acres 3 1/2 miles north of Caney, Kansas. It is located on Hwy 75 on the east side of the highway. You can't miss the beautiful gate that was erected at the entrance. Many club members have given their time to get the grounds ready for every show. We now have modern bathrooms. In 2005 there was a new building, our clubhouse, moved on the grounds for our meetings & a general purpose building. The clubhouse is handicapped accessible.

In 2005 several pieces of machinery were donated to the club including a couple of old combines along with about 25 pieces of horse drawn machinery. And of course we can’t forget a very unique tractor, a Moline Universal, which was donated to the club by the Chandler family.

The club is now able to accept donations of antique tractor equipment. The threshing machine that we currently use was donated, as well as the rock crushing machine. If you would like to donate any antique equipment, please contact one of the officers or directors.
