QCAVS Club Projects

  1. Monthly newsletter sent to all members.
  2. Annual AVSA judged show and plant sale.
  3. Annual sale with a portion of the proceeds given to AVSA project funds.
  4. Annual meeting open to the public with workshop on all phases of violet culture demonstrations by club members.
  5. Educational display and membership table at all shows and sales. AVSA culture folders available and members available to answer questions.
  6. Plant raffle and leaf sales at each club meeting to share varieties.
  7. Maintain a circulating library of violet and gesneriad books and magazines available to members.
  8. Participation in AVSA "Best Varieties" poll.
  9. Club gives special awards at IAVS show, AVSA show and QCAVS show.
  10. Members give talks and demonstrations at nursing homes, churches, and club meetings.
  11. Contributions made to Boyce Edens Research Fund and AVSA Building Fund.
  12. A non-judged display shall be help every fall.
  13. Copies of the AVSA Magazine donated to Moline, IL and Davenport Public Libraries
