Quad-Cities African Violet Society Meeting Schedule
You are cordially invited to join us at our meetings.
Our Bylaws Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month at
7:00 p.m. at the Moline Garden Center,
5th Ave. & 34th St. Moline, IL.
Annual dues are $10.00.
Each meeting consists of a short business meeting,
raffle of leaves and starter
plants,
food and drink,
and a program dealing with some aspect of growing African Violets.

- October 10, 2005 African violet growing environments: what works and what doesn’t.
- November 14, 2005 Growing to show; Selecting plants and 12-week guidelines.
- December 12, 2005 Christmas party and leaf exchange. Everyone bring a favorite holiday treat!
- January 2006 - No meeting
- February 13, 2006 How to identify and control common pests and diseases
- March 13, 2006 Last minute show tips
- April 7 – 8, 2006 QCAVS spring violet show and sale
- April 10 2006 Potting violets and basic plant culture
- May 8, 2006 Growing miniature violets
- May 28 – June 4, 2006 National Convention in Minneapolis, MN
- June 12, 2006 Mystery program
- July 10, 2006 Growing trailers
- August 14, 2006 The Dawg days of summer. Bring your favorite dawg to the meeting
- September 11th 2006 - Annual Potluck. Bring a dish to share.
